Staff Appreciation Week is April 23-27

Please join us in showing our appreciation to Mark Twain’s fabulous teachers and staff!

The PTO will be providing special treats throughout the week and there are numerous opportunities for families to get involved. This year, instead of door decorations, we will decorate the hallways with Hearts of Appreciation and we will also decorate the teacher workroom on Friday 4/20.

Hearts of Appreciation are due 4/20 (look for box in rotunda)

In addition, there will be PTO and class sponsored events going on during the week. Each classroom has an ancillary staff assigned to them. Room parents will be receiving their class assignment for ancillary staff member this week. All class-sponsored events should include your homeroom teacher as well as the ancillary staff member.

Class Sponsored Events: (For homeroom class AND ancillary assigned staff)

  • Magical Monday: Homemade cards presented to teachers and ancillary staff members
  • Terrific Teacher Tuesday: Stock the teachers supply cabinet (find teacher needs posted outside classroom door) * gift cards for ancillary staff member*
  • Wonderful Teacher Wednesday: present class gift
  • Thursday: Dinner delivered to teacher and ancillary staff member
  • Fruitful Friday: every child brings a piece of fruit or vegetable to make a nice basket for teacher and ancillary staff member

PTO sponsored Events:

  • Monday: Bagel, fruit and coffee breakfast
  • Tuesday: Taco Tuesday-Breakfast tacos
  • Wednesday: dessert bar at lunch
  • Thursday: Elite Care sponsored yogurt bar at lunch
  • Friday: Catered Gugliani’s lunch

Cut out the hearts and return them in your red folder or to the PTO workroom by Friday, April 20. The hearts will be displayed throughout the building during Staff Appreciation Week. Extra hearts are in the PTO workroom or click here to download a copy.
